Leading high-PERFORMING TEAMS program

ENABLING LEADERS TO BUILD ALIGNED, ACCOUNTABLE, AND HIGH-PERFORMING TEAMS‍ ‍

Program overview

The Leading High-Performing Teams Program is designed to strengthen the capability of leaders to build, develop, and sustain high-performing teams in complex and fast-moving environments. The program focuses on what it takes to create teams that are aligned, accountable, and consistently delivering strong results.

The program explores the core elements of high performance, including vulnerability-based trust, healthy conflict, commitment, accountability, and collective results. Participants develop a clear understanding of how these elements interact to shape team effectiveness, culture, and performance outcomes.

BUILDING TEAMS THAT DELIVER RESULTS THROUGH TRUST, ALIGNMENT, AND ACCOUNTABILITY

Through practical tools and leadership frameworks, participants strengthen their ability to build team alignment and clarity of purpose. This includes agenda setting, defining team vision, and using culture mapping to understand and influence team dynamics and performance.

The learning experience is highly practical and directly connected to real team challenges. Leaders are supported to apply concepts in real time, strengthening their confidence to intervene, align, and lead teams more effectively in everyday work contexts.

PROGRAM delivery

The Leading High-Performing Teams Program is delivered using the Australian Leadership Academy’s blended, experiential learning approach, combining self-paced prework, high-impact facilitated workshops, applied application, and reflective learning. This structured approach ensures participants arrive prepared, maximise in-session learning, and actively apply leadership capability within their own organisational context throughout the learning journey. Each stage is intentionally designed to progressively build capability while reinforcing practical workplace application and sustained leadership impact.

PROGRAM IMPACT

The Leading High-Performing Teams Program strengthens leadership capability to build more aligned, accountable, and effective teams. Participants develop a deeper understanding of the behaviours and conditions required for sustained high performance.

Leaders become more intentional in how they shape team culture, set expectations, and facilitate team conversations. This leads to stronger alignment, improved collaboration, and clearer accountability across teams.

At an organisational level, the program contributes to improved team performance, stronger culture, and more consistent delivery of results. Teams are better equipped to work collaboratively, adapt to challenges, and maintain focus on shared outcomes.
