team PROGRAM

A Co-createD and TAILORED program to empower your PEOPLE
and transform your TEAM

Program overview

The Team Program provides organisations with the flexibility to create a team experience tailored to their unique context, priorities, and challenges. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, this program is co-designed in partnership with the client, enabling teams to engage in a learning journey that is directly relevant and immediately applicable. This ensures the program aligns with organisational goals while addressing the real and emerging challenges of leadership teams.

At the core of the program is a modular design, allowing organisations to select from a suite of proven team development modules. These include Leading Self, High-Performing Teams, Peer as Coach, and Navigating Change. Each module is designed to build capability in a specific area of team effectiveness, while also contributing to an integrated and cohesive development experience.

A TEAM EXPERIENCE
TAILORED TO YOUR UNIQUE CONTEXT,
PRIORITIES AND CHALLENGES

The program also includes modules focused on communication and relationships, such as High-Impact Interpersonal Communication and High-Performance Conversations. Additional modules, including Organisational Values and Psychological Safety, further strengthen the cultural foundations required for high-performing and aligned teams.

PROGRAM DELIVERY

The Team Program is delivered using the Australian Leadership Academy’s blended, experiential learning approach, combining self-paced prework, high-impact facilitated workshops, applied application, and reflective learning. Each stage is intentionally designed to progressively strengthen how team members work together while reinforcing practical workplace application and sustained team effectiveness.

ENABLING TEAM MEMBERS TO WORK TOGETHER MORE EFFECTIVELY WITHIN THEIR ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT

MODULEs OUTLINE

The Team Program offers a flexible suite of modules that can be combined to create a tailored development experience aligned to team and organisational priorities. Each module builds practical capability in a key area of team effectiveness while contributing to a cohesive and integrated learning journey. Grounded in the Australian Leadership Academy’s experiential approach, these modules focus on real-world application to strengthen team connection and impact.

The Self-Awareness module builds the foundation for effective teamwork by strengthening self-awareness, personal responsibility, and insight. Participants explore their behaviours, communication approaches, and impact on others while developing greater awareness of how they contribute within team environments. Through reflection and practical application, participants identify their strengths and growth opportunities, enabling them to contribute with greater intention, clarity, and consistency.

SELF-AWARENESS

The Peer as Coach module supports participants to strengthen collaboration and empower others through practical coaching conversations. Participants develop coaching skills including structured conversations, asking purposeful questions, and listening with intent. By building the capability to support perspective, ownership, and accountability, team members strengthen their ability to contribute positively to team growth, performance, and working relationships.

PEER AS COACH

HIGH-PERFORMANCE
CONVERSATIONS

The High-Performance Conversations module equips participants to navigate courageous and often challenging workplace conversations with confidence and professionalism. Participants are introduced to practical frameworks that support clear, constructive, and outcome-focused feedback. The module strengthens communication capability and supports more respectful, open, and effective workplace conversations.

The Organisational Values module explores the role of values in shaping culture and influencing workplace behaviour. Participants examine organisational artefacts, values, and underlying assumptions, gaining a deeper understanding of how culture is created and sustained. The module supports participants to align behaviours with organisational values, strengthening consistency, accountability, and cultural alignment across teams.

ORGANISATIONAL VALUES

The Healthy Conflict module focuses on transforming conflict into a productive and valuable part of team performance. Participants are introduced to the Thomas-Kilmann model, gaining insight into different conflict styles and how to apply them effectively. The module provides practical language and strategies to support open, respectful, and outcome-focused conversations that strengthen collaboration and team effectiveness.

HEALTHY CONFLICT

The High-Performing Teams module focuses on what it takes to build and sustain effective, aligned, and results-driven teams. Participants explore the key elements of high performance, including vulnerability-based trust, healthy conflict, commitment, accountability, and collective results. Supported by practical tools such as agenda setting, team vision, and culture mapping, participants strengthen team alignment, collaboration, and shared accountability.

HIGH-PERFORMING TEAMS

The Adaptive Leadership module supports participants to navigate complexity, uncertainty, and change more effectively within team environments. Participants explore the difference between technical and adaptive challenges while learning how to step back and gain perspective during periods of change. The module strengthens the capability to work collaboratively through competing priorities, uncertainty, and workplace complexity.

ADAPTIVE LEADERSHIP

HIGH-IMPACT INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION

The High-Impact Interpersonal Communication module strengthens participants’ ability to communicate with clarity, intent, and influence. Participants are introduced to practical communication models that support effective messaging, alignment, listening, and understanding. The module enables team members to communicate more effectively and consistently across a range of workplace situations.

The Psychological Safety module focuses on creating environments where individuals feel safe to contribute, speak up, and take appropriate risks. Participants explore what psychological safety is, and what it is not, along with the four stages of psychological safety. The module provides practical strategies that support trust, inclusion, engagement, and open communication within teams.

PSYCHOLOGICAL SAFETY

The Wellbeing module supports participants to strengthen wellbeing, resilience, and sustainable performance within themselves and their teams. Participants explore the interconnected dimensions of physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental wellbeing, developing greater awareness of how wellbeing influences engagement, relationships, collaboration, and workplace culture.

WELLBEING

Program Delivery

  • Participants begin their journey with a curated set of prework activities designed to introduce foundational leadership concepts and encourage early reflection. This includes short readings, video content, and guided questions aligned to the organisation’s leadership priorities. The prework ensures all participants commence with a shared baseline understanding and a strong readiness to engage.

  • The program formally commences with a live, facilitator-led virtual session. This interactive introduction sets expectations, establishes the learning environment, and connects participants to the broader purpose of leadership within their organisation. Participants are introduced to key frameworks and the overall program structure, including the co-designed modules and Leadership 360° Survey process.

  • Prior to Workshop 1, participants complete targeted prework focused on self-awareness and leadership impact. This includes reflection exercises and preparation of real workplace scenarios aligned to the selected modules. The focus is on building insight and readiness for practical application.

  • Workshop 1 establishes the foundation for the program, with a focus on Leading Self and building awareness of individual leadership style, behaviours and impact. Participants engage in practical activities, reflection and feedback, while being introduced to core frameworks that will underpin the program journey.

Note: The program structure above is a draft delivery option for a one day Team Program. Your bespoke Team Program will be designed and delivered to meet the specific needs of your team and organisation.

PROGRAM IMPACT

Participants experience a highly relevant and tailored development journey that directly connects to their role and organisational context. This approach increases engagement, accelerates capability development, and ensures immediate application of learning in meaningful ways.

As teams embed their learning, they build stronger relationships, clearer communication, and increased accountability. Shared frameworks, tools, and language strengthen cohesion and improve overall team performance.

At an organisational level, the program supports the development of aligned, capable, and high-performing leadership teams. It strengthens leadership consistency, enhances collaboration, and builds a more connected and adaptive culture.
