Homes Victoria - Housing Policy Leadership Team

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Homes Victoria engaged the Australian Leadership Academy (ALA) to design and deliver a bespoke leadership program for its senior leaders in Housing Policy. The goal was to strengthen leadership capability, build strategic alignment, and support leaders in navigating complex, adaptive challenges.

What set ALA’s approach apart was its use of a dynamic agenda-setting process at the outset of the program. Rather than starting with a fixed curriculum, ALA worked closely with participants to surface their most significant leadership challenges and areas of focus. This process gave the leaders a central role in shaping the direction of their learning, ensuring the experience was both relevant and immediately applicable.

By focusing on real-time issues and adaptive challenges, the program empowered leaders to work collaboratively, think critically, and develop new approaches aligned with the broader goals of Homes Victoria. The result was a high-impact, co-created learning experience that deepened leadership insight and built a stronger foundation for leading change across the organisation.
