PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Tamworth Regional Council engaged the Australian Leadership Academy (ALA) to deliver a bespoke High-Performing Team Program for the Sports and Recreation Team, designed to strengthen culture, cohesion, and collective leadership capacity across the group.
Central to ALA’s process was the recognition of the team’s signature strengths in how it consistently achieves excellence, paired with ALA’s unique agenda-setting process, which enabled the team to identify and prioritise their most significant adaptive challenges.
Core focus areas of the program included cultivating personal responsibility and alignment with shared organisational values, while embedding the key pillars of a high-performing team: building vulnerability-based trust, engaging in healthy conflict around ideas, strengthening commitment, deepening accountability, and driving collective results.
A defining element of the program was the co-creation of a collective team vision, shaped by the team itself to guide its future direction. The initiative also focused on future planning for sustained success, supported by individual and team-based commitments, and a culture of ongoing feedback to promote continuous improvement and shared ownership.
