PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Victoria Police engaged the Australian Leadership Academy (ALA) to deliver an ongoing tailored leadership program for its Inspectors, designed to strengthen leadership capability and support officers in navigating the complex challenges of contemporary policing.

Central to ALA’s approach was its unique agenda-setting process, which invited participants to surface their most pressing adaptive leadership challenges and identify the key priorities shaping their teams and communities. This co-created process ensured that the program remained highly relevant, practical, and aligned with real-world leadership demands.

Through a dynamic blend of adaptive leadership principles, coaching practice, and perspective-shifting dialogue, participants were equipped to lead with greater clarity, confidence, and connection. The program supported Inspectors to think more systemically, engage with uncertainty, and foster a culture of trust, accountability, and learning within their spheres of influence.
